Yesterday we worked hard on our advent activity: gingerbread houses. The kids were really patient in setting up the houses, letting them dry, adding something else, waiting some more--and not eating all the candy.
It was actually fun.
Maddie did hers by herself; I obviously "helped" Elle and Will.
Of course I could not get a decent picture of all 3 of them.
We did miss seeing the Festival of Gingerbread Houses in Fort Wayne this year. It was a long-standing tradition. I guess this will have to do.

I can't believe Christmas is so close!
I also can't believe I don't have anything Christmas-related to do, other than cleaning the house for guests and picking up some groceries at Whole Foods.
I'm excited for all the Christmas surprises. Tyler doesn't even know what the kids are getting, so it will be fun to see everyone's faces.
Hope everyone is enjoying their pre-Christmas activities!

Those houses look professionally done!!!!! Hopefully you can find some new traditions in Memphis like making a gingerbread house that looks like Graceland???
