These are the worst pictures, but they're all I've got.
Easter 2018
General Conference
I was still feeling REALLY BAD at this point and not able to do much, so Giselle took care of the Easter baskets this year. She did a fabulous job and everyone was quite pleased with their gifts. (my kids know about the Easter bunny, so it's ok).
This is how we watched conference:
We joined in Scott's In Laws' Easter celebration and we ate and had a real Easter egg hunt. I never do that stuff, so it was pretty fun. And they are hard-core egg hiders. It was actually a really fun time even though I just had to sit there on the couch.
Pool opens April first so April 3 was our first Polar Plunge. And it was cold. No, I do not get it. Not until it's above 90 degrees minimum.
The top to the prom outfit. It didn't turn out quite how I wanted it too. Even though I made a muslin, we had fit issues and the lining fabric I used was the wrong choice and it just wasn't happy with it. I wish I had time and materials to do it again, except I totally don't want to do it again.
But Maddie went to Mormon Prom with her friend Aiden and they had a really fun time.
I took these pictures, and I'm pretty embarrassed by them but, 1. my camera is broken, 2. I couldn't upload the edited ones to the Internet because of my stupid computer/program, 3. There was a huge impending storm and tornado sirens were totally going off. Not ideal.
We were in full MCO selling tickets obsessing mode.
Toured the model home where my parents might build. It was super cute.
Sleepy girl.
The jeep is all fixed up and ready to go!
Little people.
MCO end of year awards. Alto 2s won the Hairy Chest award. Yesssssssssss.
I dragged Amelia to the fabric district. I'm in a sewing for me mood.
This is a shirt I just made and I LOVE it so much. I finally have a good dressier tee pattern for apparel woven. I've made 4 and it's my go to shirt now. And here I am decorating the stage for the MCO concert.
Doesn't it look nice?
The morning of the concert our family did the BYU 5k. It was So So cold. We all froze. I just walked it (I haven't run in years + incident ) and Ty pushed the stroller, but the older 3 ran it all and Maddie placed and Elle got 4th and Will was just happy to run the whole thing.
Despite the cold, it was fun. And we got cute shirts.
And I'm so sad I did not take the traditional MCO concert pic with Will!!! This is the best you get, the A2 section. We have so much fun.
And here is the sisters/besties MCO obsession group. My experience wouldn't be the same with out Mandie and Missy.
Our concert really was amazing this year.
But now that MCO is over, I have time for other things. Like feeding my family, cleaning, and sewing. I think they're glad to have me back.
And stickers and planning.
2 more of my favorite Harmony shirts.
What Giselle does 95% of the time.
I needed a recent pic of Will for his school slide show and I realized I don't have one! He's growing up fast. Intermediate school next year!
For the gun-obsessed brothers:
Side note: Will moved downstairs to the weird garage room and Wyatt has finally made the switch from our room to the Boys' Room. It's taken almost 6 years, but that boy sleeps in his own big boy bed. The train-bed vacancy was quickly filled by Amelia. Don't worry. We're still not alone.
End of year activities:
Field trip to the fire house. I hadn't been on a field trip since Maddie was in first grade (Tyler gets a paid day off for them so he usually goes) but I got to walk with Wyatt's class. But, I'm pretty sure the EMTs there were the guys that came to our house. It was weird. I had a little ptsd when they explained the ambulance.
Will got to visit his new school.
Giselle was inducted into NJHS.
I wanted to buy this for the boys.
Wyatt turned 6! What an amazing boy! Amelia and I joined him for lunch and he is cute and funny. He also learned to ride a bike the night before. He just got on and rode away. This is after years of trying to get him to pedal a trike or even try a 2-wheeler. No interest. Then he does it. That's how he operates.
We went to Braums on his actual birthday, but we had a pancake party with family the day before.
Dress I whipped up for Amelia.
Dress I found at thrift store for Maddie. She wore it to the track banquet.
And just like that April is O-ver.
